And in order for it to be at its most effective, you’ll need Agility buffs from Stat Mods and Core Chips. It only really works with max Affinity, meaning you’ll want Hunter’s Chemistry on all of your other Blades and should always have it on Pyra. Now while this build is great, obviously it has its own problems. And as I prove below, you don’t always need a specific accessory to make this build work even against some of the hardest fights like you do with crit-heal, meaning you can equip more that buff damage. This build is even safer to Art spam because Mythra can avoid all the hits that her consecutive hits are drawing in. You could still Art spam with this set, too, as it doesn’t need both Aux Core slots to be taken up to work, and even if you don’t want to use a Critical Up, you still have Pouch Items and 45% isn’t that much worse than 56%. If you do need health, though, you have an Art that spawns HP Potions. You definitely want to run this build with Evasion Focus specifically not only because it’s a great buff, but low health also sets off the bonus effect of Mythra’s Lv3 Special, Lightning Buster, one of her best attacks and a big reason her damage-per-second potential is so great.
She’s a great partner to Shulk in particular who grants the same buff just at 40% along with a party attack buff and visions. With all this, Rex’s base Agility can go as high as 782 (or 830 in NG+), and in battle, that can effectively get increased to as much as 1,247 (or 1,322 in NG+) at below 30% HP, but unless I’m wrong, those would just cap out at 999.įoresight also allows Mythra to play a good party support role no one has to run something that buffs accuracy in order to hit with her around. Then Shoe accessories can increase that by a further 10 points to 37%, Affinity MAX Evade can buff it by 8-18%, Evasion Focus can buff it by 10-35% when Rex’s HP is low, an Amethyst Chip on the Aegis Sword and Pentagon Chips on Chroma Katanas buff it by 50 points, and two other Blades with Agility Mods can buff it by up to 50%. From Foresight, it effectively becomes 352/387. Rex’s highest possible natural base Agility is 235, or 258 in New Game+. Mythra’s first battle skill, Foresight increases the entire party’s accuracy and evasion by 50% (when maxed out) as long as she has max Affinity with Rex.
Now I know getting tons of health back every few seconds sounds really good, but if you ask me, not getting hit at all sounds a whole lot better. This build also outright requires one accessory slot to be taken up by a Medal. There’s also the fact that some enemies can deflect attacks or just completely evade them. If you want this tactic to go off with as few hitches as possible, you need max Affinity and an ally with Fiora at least. Rex naturally has the lowest Dexterity of any party member and as mentioned before, Mythra’s highest possible crit rate is 56%, which means this will only work a little over half the time if you actually hit.
MYTHRA FORESIGHT DRIVER
This build also relies on hitting and landing crits, which isn’t always possible with this Driver and weapon. In order to survive against the highest-level enemies in the game, you NEED to have allies and/or rely on the invulnerability state of Lv3 Blade Combos and Lv4 Specials, the latter of which she can’t use under roofs. She’s also especially vulnerable to Topple, Launch, and any other reactions or immobilizing debuffs. Any enemy attacks that deal high amounts of damage with one or multiple hits or fights against multiple enemies can be a death sentence for her, especially since Art spamming with high amounts of damage dealt draws a lot of aggro. Most notably, Mythra is very frail being tied for having the second-lowest combined defenses of any Blade. This build has several pretty glaring flaws. Sounds amazing, right? Well, not exactly. So with this set-up, if you spam Arts (and Specials) with Mythra, you could be restoring thousands of HP per second a little over half the time.
Then with a Classic/Modern/Avant-Garde Medal equipped, if a critical hit is landed, 10-22% of the damage dealt will be restored back to Rex. The highest possible critical hit rate she can hit is 56%. The Aegis Sword’s natural critical hit rate isn’t great, but Mythra’s third skill, Glint gives it a flat increase of 15% (when maxed out), which can be further increased by 10-22% with a Critical Up aux core or 25% with the Massive Melee Mythra one. Mythra’s second skill on her Affinity Chart, Lightspeed Flurry allows Rex’s Arts to be instantly recharged (when maxed out) if they deal a critical hit. First, I’ll give a rundown of the crit-heal build, its strengths and its weaknesses.
